De invulling van het gecreëerde eiland is ok. De oude Leie is echter volledig aan het dichtslibben. De diepgang is op bepaalde plaatsen nog amper ongeveer 30 cm. Het zou heel fijn zijn mocht het toeslibben halt geroepen worden.
